My experience in Amsterdam, this city rich in culture and especially in museums,
made me thinking about our relation with these mutating place, in the digital age.
It's rather naturally that I decided to choose this topic for my end-of-studies project.
The first step of this project (that ended mid-October), had several goals :
definition of the context, technology watch, positionning, and research axis.
My research, adapted to the French context, can be summed up this way :
- A reconsideration of a policy of culture democratisation
- Visitors go to museums rarely alone...
- ...in spite of the strong loneliness feeling during the visit
- Devices mainly made for individual use (audioguide, interactive & touch screens, iPhone apps...)
- A growing online activity and a wide range of applications on social networks
- More and more participatory systems
Following these researches, I decided to work on the setting of collective practices, in situ.
My research axis are (with the eventuality to merge them):
- "To spark a debate", consisting of provoking the discussion around diverging points of vue
- "Sensitive & gamification", consisting on gathering people together around a personal or ficticious narration
I'll soon participate in a event called Museomix, in order to contribute in this topic with professionnals
on a new mediation in museums and to feed my reflexion with the conversations that will happen during these 3 days.
